Take I-24 to Murfreesboro, then take exit 81 A to Shelbyville.
From Murfreesboro to Shelbyville is about 25 minutes.
Turn Right onto Peacock Ln. (Across from Calsonic Corp.), then left onto Midland Rd. You will see the Ag Center on your right.
Coming to The Ag Center from Chattanooga, TN
Take I-24 toward Murfreesboro and exit on Exit 97 to Wartrace/Shelbyville. Following Highway 64 through Wartrace until it intersects with Highway 41 A. Turn right onto Highway 41A (Madison Street). At the Hwy. 41A North and Hwy. 231N intersection turn left. Turn left onto Peacock Ln. (Across from Calsonic Corp.). then left onto Midland Rd. You will see the Ag Center on your right.
Coming to The Ag Center from Knoxville, TN
Take I-40 E toward Nashville, then take exit 235 onto TN-840 W toward Murfreesboro. Exit onto I-24 E toward Chattanooga. Exit I-24 on exit 81 A to Shelbyville. 2008 Celebration Pet Day Program Schedule
Here is the 2008 Celebration Pet Day schedule of programs:
10:30 a.m. - Celebration Pet Day kickoff by County Mayor Eugene Ray. Immediately following demonstration program by Nashville K9.
11:00 a.m. - Tellington T Touch by Amanda Oliver and Penny Case.
11:30 a.m. - Head on down to the Gazebo warm up ring to watch Candy Swan and her dogs from Mudbug Farm Agility and Obedience put on a spectacular display of agility.
12:00 p.m. - The Comedy Canines: Come and watch these amazing rescue dogs, and their trainer, Dawn, put on a great show.
12:30 p.m. - The Nashville K9s are back for their second demonstration.
1:00 p.m. - Foundation of Training information session and demo by Cynthia Hollis of Sit and Stay Dog Training.
1:30 p.m. - Miniature Donkey Coon Jumping and Donkey Cart Driving by Kay Allen of Blessed Assurance Farm.
2:00 p.m. - Celebration Pet Day Pet Show. Registration begins at 1:00 p.m.

Bedford County Agricultural Center
1. Cutest Tail - Dogs can have long, bushy tail or short nubby tail.
2. Color Class - Dogs can be an unusual color or just a very pretty shiny color.
3. Critter Class - Open to any pet other than a dog.
4. Costume Class - Dress your pet ( and yourself) up.
5. Rescue Class - For dogs that have been adopted through a Humane Society or
Shelter . If your dog was a stray, it can be in this class too!
6. Best Trick
7. Puppy Class - Puppies under 11 months old.
8. Ugliest Dog - We mean this in the most loving way!
9. I Look Like My Dog
10. Special Needs Dog - For those missing a leg, blind, deaf, etc.
11. Prettiest Dog - Female dogs only.
12. Most Handsome Dog - Male dogs only.
13. Best In Show - All 1st place winners to compete - no fee charged!
Open to all dogs, mixed & purebred. Entry fee is $5.00 per class.
All classes are open to all ages. Awards in some classes will be divided into two age groups, 18 and under, 18 and over.

All proceeds will go to the Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association.
Dog show will start at 2:00 p.m. Registration to begin at 1:00 p.m. But come early to enjoy the demos, exhibitions, and fun for the whole family!

2008 Celebration Pet Day Activities
Look what we have planned for this year!:
We have some GREAT events lined up this year which include:
The Comedy Canines :
In the heart of the Smoky Mountains you will find a unique group of dogs. A group of rescues that have been trained to educate and entertain.
Through out the last several years Dawn and her dogs have been featured in several news stories, go to senior centers for pet therapy, traveled to Pet Star, worked at Camp Gone to the Dogs, been featured in commercials, ads and videos and performed at several charity events and schools.
The dogs are also available for media work.
They are experienced in commercials, print work, movie and video. They are kid and dog friendly and love to work.

D.I.Y. Network
Georgia Power
Atlanta Childrens' Museum
Pet Safe
Febreeze
Bank of America
Amanda Oliver: Executive Director, Beesley Animal Humane Foundation.
Mrs. Oliver will give a program about the procedures and techniques of Tellington T Touch Therapy. To learn about Tellington T Touch visit:

Cynthia Hollis from Sit & Stay Dog Training Center Will give workshop demo on dog obedience techniques.
Kay Allen from Blessed Assurance Farms will have a booth with info about the Tennessee Donkey Club. She along with her team will give a donkey cart racing and coon jumping demo and program. She will also bring her crew of miniature animals for the kids to meet and interact with.
The Annual Celebration Pet Day Pet Show is back again this year. This is an "all around" pet show, not just for dogs! Mixed breeds definitely welcome! This show is for kids and adults alike. Entry fee is $5.00 per class. Best in Show will receive a challenge trophy, ribbon, and $50.00 savings bond.
Candy Swan from Mudbug Farm Agility and Obedience: will be there with her group of Agility Dogs. Candy and her dogs will give agility demonstrations and tips.
We are once again an official Puria "Rally to Rescue" event. Many local area rescues will have booths and information.
We'll also have vendors, games, food and fun!
